Reggio Emilia Inspired Hundred Journeys Program

At Joy Villa, we believe children have a hundred languages—a hundred ways to express, explore, and connect with the world. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy and aligned with the EYLF, our Hundred Journeys Program offers rich, hands-on learning across the arts, music, STEM, Chinese language, and Sports. Through joyful experiences and real-world connections, we nurture each child’s natural curiosity, creativity, and confidence—fostering a lifelong love of learning and a deep respect for self, others, and the environment.

Music

In our music program at Joy Villa, we sing, dance, and make sounds with all kinds of things—like drums, scarves, shakers, our own voices and even recycled materials! We love to explore rhythms, move our bodies, and create music together. Music time helps us express how we feel, build confidence, and have fun while learning to listen, share, and connect with our friends.

Sports

Our sport program provides lots of fun ways to move our bodies! We play games like soccer, basketball, and gymnastics, using our energy to run, jump, kick, and balance. We learn new skills while having fun with friends—taking turns, working as a team, and cheering each other on. Sports help us grow strong, feel confident, and discover what our amazing bodies can do!

STEM

Our STEM program gives us lots of chances to explore, build, and ask big questions! We mix science, technology, engineering, and maths to discover how things work and why. Whether we’re making a volcano, building with blocks, or testing floating objects, we use our hands and minds to problem-solve, experiment, and create. STEM helps us become curious thinkers, confident explorers, and great at solving tricky challenges -while having fun along the way!

Creative Arts

Creative Arts program gives us lots of ways to express ourselves! We draw, paint, sculpt, and make collages using all kinds of fun materials. Art helps us share our ideas, show our feelings, and explore the world in our own unique way. We use our hands, imaginations, and senses to create, experiment, and solve problems. When we make art with our friends, we learn to listen, share, and work together—building confidence and celebrating what makes each of us special!

Chinese

At Joy Villa, we deeply value each child’s family culture and enjoy learning about the diverse backgrounds that make up our community. By celebrating different languages and traditions, we help children grow into curious, respectful, and open-minded learners.

As part of this commitment, we offer a special monthly Chinese Language Program. Children are introduced to simple Mandarin words through songs, stories, games, flashcards, and creative activities like art. It’s a fun and engaging way to explore a new language and discover a different culture.
