Connecting children with the land, culture and community

Our program honours the wisdom, culture, and ongoingconnection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait lslander peoples to land, water, and community. We believe thatfostering cultural awareness and inclusivity from an early age is essential for nurturing respectful, empatheticand socially responsible citizens.
Why First Nations Learning Matters

Build empathy, inclusivity, and a strong sense of social responsibility
Strengthen their identity and connection to Country, culture, and community
Bringing First Nations Perspectives into the Classroom
In our classrooms, First Nations perspectives are embedded in meaningful, everyday ways:
Yarning circles create space for listening and respectful dialogue
Dreaming stories and traditional songs enrich learning through narrative and rhythm
Aboriginal art symbols and techniques are explored in creative expression
Natural materials and culturally significant props enhance play and connection
Where possible, we engage in bush tucker gardening, nature walks, and community visits
Our educators continue to deepen their knowledge and build relationships with local Elders andcommunities, creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children feel seen, heard, andconnected.
