Government Assistance for Early Education
Understand how much support you're entitled to
What is ChildCare Subsidy
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government initiative designed to reduce the cost of early childhood education and care for families. The subsidy amount varies based on your income, the type of care and your eligibility.
Key Points:
CCS covers a percentage of childcare fees, making early education more affordable
Payments go directly to your childcare provider, reducing your upfront costs
Families are only required to pay the remaining “Gap Fee”, which can be estimated using our calculator.

How Does the Child Care Subsidy Calculator Work?
Our CCS Calculator allows you to estimate the government subsidy you may be entitled to and calculate the actual cost of care per session.
To get started, simply input the following details:
Your family income (before tax)
Your childcare hours per week
The hourly rate charged by your provider
Your activity level (e.g. working, studying, volunteering, etc.)
The calculator will then provide a quick estimate of your subsidy and out-of-pocket expenses.
Why Use the Child Care Subsidy Calculator?
At Joy Villa Early Learning Centre, we encourage families to use the CCS Calculator because
It helps provide clarity on costs, making it easier to budget for your childcare expenses.
It ensures financial transparency, so you know exactly what to expect
It empowers parents to access available subsidies, making quality childcare more affordable.
It reduces financial stress, allowing families to focus on what truly matters — your child’s growth and development.
